President Mark Popolizio, J.D. is a Senior Account Executive for NuQuest/Bridge Pointe. Prior to joining NuQuest/Bridge Pointe, Mark practiced law for ten years concentrating in the areas of workers’ compensation defense and insurance defense litigation. Mark developed a national Medicare practice that included Medicare Set-Asides and general compliance with the Medicare Secondary Payer Statute. Mark also served as Medicare counsel for a national TPA. While in private practice, Mark represented numerous carriers, third party administrators and self insureds. In addition to his workers’ compensation and Medicare practices, Mark served as the Executive Director of the Negotiated Workers’ Compensation Insurance Program (NWCIP) which is an alterative dispute resolution system under the Florida workers’ compensation act. Jill Gradwohl Schroeder, Esq. The emphasis of Ms. Schroeder’s legal practice is upon workers’ compensation issues, Medicare Secondary Payer Act claims, issues arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other employment law matters. William Van Wambeke Bill Van Wambeke is General Counsel for M Hayes, a Baltimore-based disability management and Medicare compliance company, where he is responsible for general legal guidance as well as oversight of the Medicare Set-Aside program. Prior to joining M Hayes in January of 2006, he was national Workers’ Compensation Group Counsel for St. Paul/St. Paul Travelers Insurance Company where, among other things, he was responsible for workers compensation litigation management, complex case oversight, and compliance matters such as HIPAA and the Medicare Secondary Payer Act. Bill is a member of the bipartisan legislative committee in Washington working on Medicare reform and a principal drafter of H.R. 5309, the “Medicare Secondary Payer and Workers’ Compensation Settlement Agreements Act of 2006.” He has lectured extensively on Medicare Set-Asides to such groups as the American Insurance Association, the American Bar Association, the Michigan Bar Association, the Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators, AMCOMP, Lorman Education Services, the Insurance Rehabilitation Study Group and the Defense Research Institute. Michael E. Westcott owns and operates the Structured Financial Associates-O’Hare operation, with offices in Wausau, WI and Schaumburg, IL. John Williams began his career in the managed care field in 1996 with diverse roles including business development, sales and marketing, and operational/executive management. He possesses experience in life care planning, medical/expert legal services, reserve forecasting, Medicare Set-Aside arrangements, case management, medical bill review services, and utilization review services.
